How To Easily Change Your Screen Settings
The standard screen setting of 800 x 600 pixels makes everything on
your screen bigger, but you can't fit as much into your screen
area. Thus you have to do lots of "scrolling," which is
annoying and chops up your viewing area.
To change your screen setting to 1024 x 768 pixels is easy, do this:
(If you like you can print this out)
-
Put your mouse pointer anywhere on your computer
screen and
"right click," which will open a small grey box next to
your mouse pointer. Note: if you can't see your
screen because there is a program in the way, either
close or minimize that program.
-
Put your mouse pointer on the line in the grey box that says
"properties," and left click on that line.
-
A larger box will open with tabs across the top, one of which
should say "settings." Left click on the
"settings" tab.
-
You will see a sliding bar that says "Screen
resolution," move the bar until you see 1024 by 768 pixels
displayed under the sliding bar.
-
At the bottom of the box, left click on the "Apply"
button.
-
Your screen will turn black for a moment while it adjusts to the
new size, and this is normal.
-
A popup window will appear asking if you want to keep these new
desktop settings, left click "Yes."
-
You're done! It might take a few minutes to get used to
seeing more in your browser window, but I think you'll like
it. You'll certainly enjoy this new Hill Cumorah Pageant web
site better.
-
If you still prefer your old screen settings, just follow the
above steps again, only put the setting back to 800 x 600 pixels.
